KATHRYN FICARRA

MEET KATHRYN
I am a PR and communications executive, brand strategist, and commercial operator with twenty years of experience building the kind of credibility that paid media cannot buy.
My career has spanned some of the most competitive marketing environments in tech, gaming, and consumer brands. I spent six years at Big Fish Games as VP of Advertising, leading brand strategy, partner marketing, and national broadcast campaigns for one of the largest mobile gaming companies in North America. Before that I built revenue channels at Crowd Cow, launched a global brand's North American market at Frank Green, and consulted across consumer hardware and SaaS companies navigating market entry and brand repositioning.
In parallel I serve as Head of Peoplevine Private X (PPX), the brand activation division of Peoplevine, the platform powering 250+ of the world's most high-profile private member clubs globally. Through PPX I connect premium brands with curated, high-value audiences through executive programming, fireside events, and field activations built around one question: what does this brand need the room to believe by the time people leave.
I have appeared on Apple TV's Office Hours and speak regularly on leadership, communications, and performance under pressure. Based in Seattle. Working across the USA and London.
Presence: The Currency of Modern Leadership
Presence is determined in the moments when pressure enters the room. When decisions carry weight, conversations become uncertain, and outcomes are no longer guaranteed. Presence: The Modern Workplace Currency explores what actually happens in those moments and why two equally capable leaders can respond in completely different ways. Drawing on more than two decades of experience in corporate leadership, Ficarra breaks down how internal patterns, beliefs, and perception shape how leaders think, communicate, and make decisions under pressure. The result isn’t just different behavior. It’s different outcomes. This is not a book about becoming a better speaker or adopting new leadership tactics. It’s about understanding the internal systems that drive performance when it matters most. Through a practical and relatable framework, the book introduces a new way to think about leadership presence. One that moves beyond surface level skills and into clarity, stability, and conviction. Because in today’s workplace, presence isn’t a personality trait. It’s the currency everything else depends on. Available on Amazon
